Jude Bellingham echoes Carlo Ancelotti’s ‘best in the world’ Vinícius comments

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has this evening echoed the words of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, in pointing towards Vinícius Jr. as world football’s best player.

Wide-man Vinícius, of course, positioned himself front and centre in the headlines in Spain late on Saturday night.

This came by way of a scintillating display, en route to his side’s rampant victory over La Liga title rivals Girona.

After opening the scoring from long range courtesy of a stunning strike early on, the Brazilian international then laid on Real’s 2nd, with a sumptuous outside of the boot assist for Jude Bellingham.

On top of as much, Vinícius utterly terrorised Girona’s backline across the 90 minutes, making use of his brilliant touch, explosive pace and unmatched dribbling abilities to leave compatriot Yan Couto chasing shadows all night.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on his star attacker.

“He’s the best in the world,” explained the Italian, after being drawn on Vinícius’ performance on Saturday.

And, as alluded to above, 24 hours on, the same message has been relayed by another of Los Blancos’ standout stars.

Fresh off a scintillating display of his own in the club’s downing of Girona, brace-hitter Jude Bellingham revealed his own take on the talents boasted by his attacking teammate.

“When Vini Jr is in the mood, he’s the best player in the world for me,” the midfielder began.

“I’m so fortunate I get to play with players like that,” Bellingham continued. “I’m in awe at the quality of Rodry & Viní.”
