Jude Bellingham breaks Cristiano Ronaldo’s goalscoring record in Real Madrid’s win over Cádiz

The latest goal netted by Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham saw the midfielder etch his name ever further into the history books of Los Blancos.

Bellingham, and Real, were in action on Sunday night. In the knowledge that a victory would see them climb back to the top of the La Liga table, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops made the trip to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, for a meeting with Cádiz.

Madrid picked up all three points in a 3-0 victory in Andalusia. Rodrygo proved himself the star of the show, notching a brace, as well as laying on the assist for the visitors’ result-clinching third.

And yet, as alluded to above, it was teammate Bellingham who in fact secured for himself a place in Real’s storied history books.

After finding the net once more against Cádiz, the summer arrival in Spain’s capital took his tally for the campaign to a whopping 14 goals.

This marks the most goals ever managed by a player across their first 15 official appearances in the colours of Los Merengues, one more than all of Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stéfano, and Pruden Sánchez.
