The Athletic report that several La Liga clubs are interested in signing Juan Mata this summer.
Mata agreed a 12-month contract extension at Manchester United last summer but is expected to end his stay at Old Trafford in June.
Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay met with Mata’s father in January to discuss a possible move.
In eight years at Old Trafford, Mata has scored 51 goals and registered 47 assists in 277 games. He has only made four appearances in the current campaign.
