José Bordalás will remain in charge of Getafe for the 2020/21 season despite speculation surrounding his future, according to Marca.

The 56-year-old has two more years remaining on his current contract and after meeting with club directors, has agreed to stay on with the south Madrid club. In talks held with president Ángel Torres and sports director Ángel Martín González, the Getafe coach has made it clear that it is time to invest in an aging squad for the coming seasons. The Covid-19 crisis will cause Los Azulones to reduce their budget by €12m, going from €82m to €70m.
