Jordi Alba is in talks over a move to MLS club Inter Miami, Fabrizio Romano reports. The player decided to leave La Liga Barcelona champions this summer and start a new chapter in his career. And although he has not made a decision yet, there is a possibility that he will link up with former team-mate Lionel Messi in the United States.
Alba joined Barcelona from fellow La Liga side Valencia and since then, the left-back played a pivotal role at Camp Nou, winning six La Liga titles and the Champions League.
At the age of 34, he is now set to leave the club he made over 300 appearances for. It has been reported that Alba also has two contract proposals from Saudi Arabian clubs, though he has made no decision on his future yet.
It was after announcing his departure from Barça that several European sides contacted Alba’s agent Vicente Forés. The three clubs showing interest in the Spain international were Atlético Madrid, Champions League finalists Inter Milan and Portuguese giants Benfica.
