Atlético Madrid have confirmed that João Félix suffered an ankle sprain in the team’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Sunday.
The Portuguese forward and English full-back Kieran Trippier had to be substituted in yesterday’s match, with both undergoing medical tests at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Madrid on Monday.
The England international is reportedly suffering from lower back pain. João Félix will miss Atlético’s game against Eibar on Sunday, but the club hope to have him available on April 22 for the match against Huesca.
