João Félix names the Barcelona star who has surprised him most since joining the club

Barcelona loanee João Félix has on Thursday provided an insight into the player to have surprised him most with his qualities since arriving at the club last summer.

Frontman Félix, of course, is currently in the midst of a season-long stint in Catalunya’s capital.

After being deemed surplus to requirements by the brass at Atlético Madrid, La Liga rivals Barca swooped to take advantage, courtesy of an expensive loan agreement.

And Félix, for his part, has since gone on to enjoy a solid if unspectacular go of things in Blaugrana colours.

Now fully settled into the playing squad under the watch of Xavi, the Portuguese, on Thursday, was in turn drawn on a whole host of topics surrounding his Barca stint.

During an interview with Jijantes, Félix opened up on his future beyond the summer, Xavi’s managerial abilities, players whom he would like to see make the move to the Camp Nou, and much more.

One particular question put to the 24-year-old, though, has since piqued widespread attentions amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion.

This comes after Félix was asked to name the player who, across the season to date, has left him most surprised through his quality in training.

And the former Benfica talent went on to respond:

“The player who has surprised me the most in training at Barça? Frenkie de Jong.”
