Joan Jordán: “Diego Carlos & Jules Koundé are so good together because they are different.”

Speaking in an interview with Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordán revealed why he thinks the centre-back partnership of Diego Carlos and Julen Koundé works so well and discussed the rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal.

“I’m with both of them every day and I think that the most important thing is that they are different. They have different profiles and therefore they complement each other. Physically, Diego Carlos is brilliant. Jules is different, he is smaller, very strong, good on the ball, and very intelligent on the pitch. They are different and they give us so much. For us, it’s a pleasure to have them.”

On Arsenal’s interest in signing Jordán

“Things come out in the news. When I was playing with Eibar there were rumours too, some true, some not so true. I’m always very clear, you have to live in the present. Thinking about the future doesn’t provide me with the happiness that I need. I’m focused on Sevilla. I’m at an ambitious club and I’m really happy here.”
