‘It would be a good match’ – Antonio Rüdiger eager to welcome Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid

Who said that he’s coming?” Antonio Rüdiger (31) told Le Média Carré. “It’s not official,” but the smirk on the German international’s face tells another story. If Kylian Mbappé’s (25) move from Paris Saint-Germain to Los Blancos is not yet official, it is expected to become so soon enough.

It is thought that – at this point – the only thing holding up the officialisation of Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid is the fact that his current team, PSG, could face his future team in the final of the UEFA Champions League. While that remains the case, an official announcement is unlikely.

However, there are now few doubts – Mbappé will join Real Madrid at the end of the season, after announcing to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi his impending departure earlier this season. Los Blancos, who have a long history of signing superstars, would suit the France captain, according to Rüdiger.

“I think the best players in history have always played for Real Madrid. He is one of the best players in the world so it would be a good match,” he told Le Média Carré. Whilst Rüdiger is full of admiration for Mbappé, he said that should he try to pass him, he will “smash” the PSG forward. The pair are soon expected to be teammates at the Bernabeu but Rüdiger certainly won’t be treating Mbappé as such, should they meet in the Champions League final at Wembley.
