Eden Hazard will take to the field again on 18 October in a charity match for the Varietes Club de France, a team that brings together celebrities and former footballers to play matches for social purposes, report MD.
The match will be held in Calais, France, as announced on social media by the Variétés Club de France, and the proceeds will go to ‘Pieces Jaunes’, promoted by the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France. This initiative encourages people to donate to fund projects in favour of hospitalised children and adolescents.
Since its creation in 1989, Pieces Jaunes has contributed to improving living conditions and care in numerous hospital establishments, providing valuable support to young patients and their families.
Didier Deschamps and Brigitte Macron are actively involved in raising public awareness of the cause and encouraging participation.
Hazard, 32, has yet to find a new club after leaving Real Madrid and it has been reported that he could be now on the verge of retiring after a disappointing spell in the Spanish capital.
