A debate has been kickstarted behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona, over the potential signing of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The subject of Salah’s future has of course returned to the fore in a major way in the media chatter over the course of recent days.
This comes after the Egyptian openly admitted that, ahead of the expiration of his Liverpool contract next summer, he considers himself as ‘more out than in’ at the club.
Such comments have set alarms sounding at clubs across Europe, understandably eager to take advantage of the chance to bring in one of the game’s standout performers, with no fee attached.
And one such club giving consideration to an approach for Salah, it is claimed, are Barcelona.
The Blaugrana are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements in the attacking third with a view to next season, with the 32-year-old having made his way firmly onto the watchlist of Deco and co.
Whilst some in the Camp Nou boardroom are firmly behind an approach, though, others are more hesitant.
Owing to the fact that Salah occupies the same position on the pitch as Lamine Yamal, something of a ‘debate’ has been sparked amongst the Barca brass, as to whether or not the former’s arrival would be beneficial in the long-term.
