Real Madrid are expected to have an important member of the club’s attacking ranks back available for their upcoming showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.
That’s according to Real insider Mario Cortegana, who points towards Brahim Díaz as the player in question.
Versatile attacker Brahim was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines last month, owing to a tear in the adductor longus muscle of his right leg.
The initial expectation at the time of the injury being confirmed was that the Moroccan international would not return to competitive action for a spell of around three months.
In turn, it came as a major surprise when, earlier this month, Brahim was spotted back out on the grass, for individualised training.
The 24-year-old has since ramped up his recovery further, too, by way of a return to group training alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
And, as alluded to above, as much is expected to culminate in Brahim being given the medical green light for competitive action this weekend.
As per the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic:
‘Brahim is expected to be included in the squad for El Clásico.’
