Injured Barcelona star to return for Valencia clash

La Liga giants Barcelona are expected to welcome a sidelined member of the club’s first-team ranks back into the fold for their upcoming meeting with Valencia.

That’s according to COPE, who point towards Dani Olmo as the player in question.

Spanish international Olmo, for his part, was of course condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines late last month.

As much came after his appearance off the bench in Barcelona’s 1-1 stalemate with Getafe was followed by an announcement that the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital had suffered a ‘right soleus strain’.

Olmo, in turn, was ruled out against all of Benfica, Valencia, Atalanta and Deportivo Alavés.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 26-year-old should be back available for selection this week.

As per a report from COPE:

‘Dani Olmo will be on the Barcelona squad list for the Copa del Rey match against Valencia’ on Thursday.
