Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this week provided an insight into his first impressions of teammate Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine and Lewandowski have of course long struck up a supreme understanding on the pitch.
Alongside Raphinha, the pair have stood as the most productive frontline on the continent across the early months of the new campaign.
As much comes despite Lamine still being just 17 years of age…
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Rio Ferdinand Presents’ on Thursday, it therefore came as little surprise when the name of his prodigious young teammate was put to the aforementioned Robert Lewandowski.
And the veteran frontman went on to admit that, upon seeing Lamine in action for the first time two years ago, he was left in awe of the abilities boasted by a player of such tender years:
“The first time I saw him in a first team training session, he was 15 years old. It was the first time I saw someone like that in my life, because I’ve seen many talented young players, but for the first time I said ‘WOW’. Who is this kid? It’s impossible to be so good and so intelligent at this age.”
