“I’m here, not Messi” – Cristiano Ronaldo fumes with Saudi fans during Al-Hilal defeat

Footage of Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo completely losing his cool during his latest appearance for Al-Nassr has piqued widespread attentions online this evening.

This comes after the veteran frontman was the target of incessant chanting on the part of Al-Hilal’s supporters.

Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal went head-to-head a short time ago, in the latest edition of the Riyadh Season Trophy.

When all was said and done, it was the latter who emerged on the right side of the result, owing to goals on the part of Sergej Milinković-Savić and Salem Al-Dawsari.

Also sitting seven points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal, in turn, reiterated their dominance over their capital rivals.

And, as alluded to above, en route to his side’s eventual defeat, Cristiano Ronaldo could not help but allow his emotions to get the better of him.

As chants of ‘Messi, Messi’ rained down on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo was spotted angrily responding.

As can be seen in the footage below, the 39-year-old, whilst pointing to himself, shouted:

“I am here now, I am here now, not Messi”
