Iago Aspas & Gerard Moreno make top 5 in most goal involvement charts

AS have produced a piece outlining goal involvement in Europe’s top five leagues.

There is no other player in Europe’s top five leagues who has as much influence on his team as Harry Kane at Tottenham and Iago Aspas at Celta. In fact, they are the only two players who are involved in more than half of their team’s goals. In the case of the Englishman, he is involved in 61% of the club’s goals, while the Spaniard has been involved in 52% of the LaLiga team’s goals.

Kane has 21 goals and 13 assists so far this season – he has been directly involved in 34 of the 56 goals scored by the London club in the Premier League. Aspas has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in LaLiga. He was the first player in LaLiga to reach double figures in both categories and is the player with the biggest impact on his team, as he has been directly involved in 23 of the 44 goals scored by Celta.

Karim Benzema, Wout Weghorst and Gerard Moreno help make up the top five list, all three have a 50% share of their team’s goals. Real Madrid’s French striker has contributed to 28 goals (21 goals and 7 assists), Wolfsburg’s Dutch striker has been involved in 27 goals (20+7) and Villarreal’s Catalan striker has been involved in 25 goals (20+5).
