Details of the financial figures involved in the impending arrival of Manchester City star Julián Álvarez at Atlético Madrid have on Tuesday come to the fore online.
The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, and points towards the brass at Atlético as having agreed to fork over a hefty sum to their counterparts at The Etihad.
The initial, guaranteed fee involved will come in the region of €75 million.
Not only that, but the board in Spain’s capital have agreed to a considerable €20 million in potential add-ons, too.
This proposal, which all told would amount to close to €100 million, has already been accepted by Premier League champions Man City, who are no doubt already eyeing up possible replacements for Álvarez on the market.
Negotiations over the terms of a contract for the World Cup winner are ongoing with Atlético, albeit with few problems expected to be encountered.
Expect further updates on the situation over the days ahead, with the transfer potentially in line to be completed as soon as this weekend.
