How much did Real Madrid earn from Juanmi Latasa’s Real Valladolid switch?

An insight into the financial details of Juanmi Latasa’s move from Real Madrid to La Liga rivals Real Valladolid has on Wednesday been provided.

This comes, for those who may have missed it, after official confirmation of the transfer was forthcoming on Wednesday afternoon.

After frontman Latasa linked back up with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad for pre-season training following a 2nd successive loan spell with Getafe, a number of clubs from across the Spanish football landscape quickly began sniffing around his signature.

It was the aforementioned Real Valladolid, however, who made most clear their intentions to put the money on the table to strike a deal.

And, on Wednesday, precisely as much was forthcoming.

As per a statement across Real Valladolid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Real Valladolid and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of the federation rights of Juan Miguel Latasa. The striker is committed to the Blanquivioleta entity until June 30, 2029.’

So, how much have Los Blancos added to their coffers by way of the 23-year-old’s sale?

As per a report from the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, a solid sum of €4.5 million.
