Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick late on Wednesday provided the perfect response to a journalist questioning his side’s narrow victory over Getafe.
Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
Fresh off six successive victories to open the campaign, the Blaugrana welcomed the aforementioned Getafe to Catalunya’s capital, with sights set on another three-point haul.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts marched on to.
Top scorer Robert Lewandowski proved the decisive figure once more, slotting home the game’s only goal from close range inside the 20-minute mark.
Barcelona created a number of other presentable goalscoring chances over the course of the 90 minutes, but saw a combination of wasteful finishing and the excellence of David Soria hold them at bay.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle on Wednesday, the aforementioned Hansi Flick, in turn, was drawn on his side’s failure to add to Lewandowski’s opener.
