An insight into the bemusement of a leading member of the coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid with the training facilities afforded to the club during their pre-season tour has today been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Marca, and points towards Davide Ancelotti as the individual to have been less than impressed.
Real’s squad, for those not aware, touched down in the USA over the weekend, for their annual pre-season training camp.
Ahead of a friendly meeting with AC Milan in the early hours of Thursday, Los Blancos have made their way to Chicago, to step up preparations for the new campaign.
Carlo Ancelotti oversaw his first stateside session on Monday, putting his players through their paces on the grass.
As alluded to above, however, it was not exactly smooth sailing for the Spanish champions in Illinois.
Instead, as per a report from Marca:
‘Sprinklers that did not stop put out water in senseless quantities. One thing is to water the pitch, and another to flood it.’
Real assistant manager Davide Ancelott was left particularly angered by the situation, heard on more than one occasion questioning:
“How we can train here, how? Explain it to me!”
