An insight into the plans of the coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona for the club’s right-back spot in their upcoming showdown with Inter Milan has been forthcoming online.
This, of course, comes after the Blaugrana saw their first-choice right-full suffer an injury setback on Wednesday.
Hansi Flick’s troops welcomed Inter Milan to Catalunya’s capital last night, for the first leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.
En route to an eventual 3-3 stalemate, however, Jules Koundé was forced to limp out of proceedings.
Late in the first-half, the Frenchman went to ground in evident discomfort, before quickly being hooked by boss Hansi Flick.
Barcelona have since announced that Koundé has suffered a hamstring injury, expected to keep the former Sevilla man sidelined for several weeks.
So, just how will the Blaugrana account for his absence in next week’s semi-final return leg showdown with Inter?
As per Diario AS, the same way in which they did on Wednesday:
‘Everything points to Eric García being the one in charge of replacing Koundé on the right wing in the upcoming matches.’
