The agent of Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has this weekend provided an update on his client’s future.
And, in the process, Nedal Huoseh has afforded fresh hope to Barcelona and the many clubs currently in pursuit of Davies’ signature.
This comes, for those who may have missed it, after speculation mounted this week that the race for the in-demand defender had come to an end.
Amid long-standing confirmation of negotiations between the parties, it was reported in Spain that Real Madrid had sealed a verbal agreement with Davies, set to be signed following the turn of the year.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to the player’s representative, Nedal Huoseh.
In quotes gathered by Fabrizio Romano, relaid by Mundo Deportivo, though, Huoseh went on to firmly deny claims of an agreement with Spanish champions Real:
“Has the deal with Real Madrid already been closed? That’s not true. It’s a lie.
“Although the player has many options, we have not reached an agreement with any club. Any information suggesting otherwise is incorrect.”
Huoseh even admitted:
“A new contract with Bayern could also be an option.”
