Héctor Bellerín will undergo his Barcelona medical in London ahead of officially completing his move to the La Liga side, according to Matteo Moretto.
The Spanish right-back will join the Camp Nou outfit on a one-year deal. It is believed that Bellerín, whose contract with Arsenal is valid until June 2023, will take a salary reduction in order to help Barcelona stay within La Liga’s financial regulations.
Bellerín spent last season on loan at Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis, where he won the Copa del Rey in April of this year. He wanted to stay at Los Verdiblancos, however, the club could not afford to sign keep him on for the 2022-23 campaign.
The 27-year-old knows FC Barcelona having come through La Masia before he was signed by the Gunners as a teenager in 2011.
With Sergiño Dest leaving Camp Nou for Serie A champions AC Milan, Bellerín will offer Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández a new option at right-back this season.
