Héctor Bellerín joined Barcelona on the final day of the transfer window from Arsenal. As communicated on their official website, he was presented as a Barça player at Campo Tito Vilanova alongside Marcos Alonso.
The 27-year-old came through La Masia, but never played for the senior side. He told those present that he is excited to join Barcelona:
“I am very excited to wear the Barça shirt with the first team, it has been one of my childhood dreams.”
Bellerín is also looking forward to wearing the number 2 shirt:
“I’m very excited, I’ve worn that shirt for many years. When you’re little and you’re in the youth system, it’s the only thing that you can dream about. I’m very grateful to the club.”
Just like Marcos Alonso, the Spanish right-back found the squad very welcoming too:
“I’ve found a very nice dressing room, which has welcomed me perfectly and with whom we are going to create great moments.”
