Las Palmas star Alex Suárez has singled one Barcelona player out as the clear difference-maker in the meeting between the sides.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off securing another three points at Las Palmas’ expense.
After making the trip to Gran Canaria for a La Liga clash, the Blaugrana ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.
Substitutes made the difference for the visitors on the evening, with Dani Olmo’s opener just beyond the hour mark having been added to by Ferran Torres in the game’s closing moments.
And it is the former whom the aforementioned Alex Suárez feels was most responsible for his side’s eventual defeat.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, defender Suárez admitted that Olmo’s ability to break the lines spoiled Las Palmas’ game plan entirely:
“Olmo came on and changed the game. He broke our system. He surprised us.”
