Harry Kane no longer on Real Madrid’s shortlist

Harry Kane is no longer a Real Madrid, according to Diario AS. The price for Kane will be at least €116m, with a salary of €20m also to be accounted for.

Carlo Ancelotti wanted the England international, who is now longer on the club’s shortlist due to the fee Tottenham want for their talisman.

Real Madrid have been signing young players for several seasons now and they are not going to change that for Kane. Despite his age, the only player Real Madrid are considering at the moment to strengthen their attack is Joselu.

The Espanyol striker (33) is also a Spain international and will join the club on loan as they prepare for life without Karim Benzema.

Whether or not Joselu will have more competition in the forward line will depend on what the club do over the coming weeks and months.

Rodrygo, who has been used in the No 9 role in recent games for Madrid, will be an option there for Ancelotti in 2023-24.
