An insight into the options at the disposal of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick to replace Marc Casadó in the club’s next outing has today been provided.
Midfielder Casadó, for his part, will be unavailable for selection this weekend.
After being sent off for a pair of bookable offences in Barcelona’s meeting with Celta Vigo last weekend, the Spanish international picked up a one-game suspension.
With Casadó having acted as a near ever present at the base of his midfield over recent months, as much means that Hansi Flick will be forced to shake things up on Saturday afternoon.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, an insight into the German’s options has been provided.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the favourite to replace Casadó in Barcelona’s XI to face Las Palmas is the under-fire Frenkie de Jong.
Next up comes Gavi, albeit with it remaining to be seen if the youngster is yet considered well enough to start two fixtures in the space of a week.
Eric García is another potential option, albeit with the former Manchester City man having not played a single minute of competitive action since early-October owing to injury.
And last up comes Fermín López, the most unlikely due to his more attack-minded characteristics.
