Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick made use of a new-look XI during training in the buildup to the club’s upcoming meeting with Espanyol.
Barcelona are of course primed to return to action later this evening, in a derby meeting with Catalan neighbours Espanyol.
The Blaugrana head into the matchup in the knowledge that a victory will guarantee them champion status in La Liga for 2024/25.
On Wednesday, Barca’s players, in turn, were put through their final paces in preparation for the clash.
And as alluded to above, during as much, Hansi Flick tested a particular group of players, in what could well prove to be his line-up for the Derbi Barceloní.
As per a report from Diario Sport, the soon-to-be Spanish champions could set up as follows against Espanyol on Thursday:
Ter Stegen, Eric, Cubarsí, Christensen, Gerard Martín: De Jong, Pedri, Olmo; Lamine, Raphinha and Ferran.
*Update* – Ferran has since been ruled out of the clash, meaning Robert Lewandowski is likely to spearhead Barcelona’s attack at RCDE Stadium.
