Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of star winger Lamine Yamal.
This comes after the youngster was left with a nasty wound on his foot in the aftermath of Barcelona’s weekend victory over Las Palmas.
The 17-year-old revealed as much via his social media channels, as showcased below:
Speaking to the media on Monday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Lamine’s current wellbeing was put to manager Hansi Flick.
Barcelona are set to return to action tomorrow night, when the Catalans play host to Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie between the sides.
And Hansi Flick has admitted that, whilst Lamine has not yet been given the green light to participate, he is ‘hopeful’ of as much being provided by the Blaugrana’s medical staff:
“We have to wait 24 hours to understand if he will be available against Atlético Madrid. But I really hope to have Lamine as part of the squad.”
