Hansi Flick provides final Dani Olmo injury update before Barcelona’s trip to Mallorca

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Monday provided a fresh insight into the wellbeing of star midfielder Dani Olmo.

This, of course, comes after the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital sparked fresh concern amongst the Barcelona faithful this past weekend.

The Blaugrana played host to Las Palmas on Saturday, ultimately condemned to the wrong side of a hugely disappointing 2-1 result.

The aforementioned Olmo, for his part, failed to play a single minute of the clash, despite having been named amongst Hansi Flick’s list of substitutes.

Speaking to the media post-match, Flick went on to point towards ‘discomfort’ as having been behind the former RB Leipzig man’s latest absence.

Olmo’s status to face Mallorca on Tuesday was, in turn, considered as being up in the air, too.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference a short time ago, the name of his midfield spearhead was therefore quickly put to Barcelona’s headmaster once more.

And, in a source of relief for the Catalans, Flick went on to confirm:

“Dani, he is back and we have him to start if necessary.”
