Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has made use of the opportunity to introduce a couple of changes to his starting XI to face Espanyol this evening.
And one such change will see an up-and-coming defender feature from the off for just the 2nd time this season.
Barca are of course primed to return to action in short order, in the season’s first edition of the Derbi Barceloní at Montjuïc.
The Catalans will head into proceedings with confidence high in the camp, eyeing a fifth successive victory across all competitions.
And, as alluded to above, in efforts towards as much, a couple of fresh faces have been introduced to the club’s starting line-up.
The more noteworthy comes in the form of that of Dani Olmo, with the big-money summer signing now fully recovered from injury, and back in from the off in place of Fermín López.
The other change comes at the back, where the almost ever-present Jules Koundé is forced to make do with a spot on the bench, allowing youngster Héctor Fort to take his place at right-back.
