New Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has already been fully convinced by the talents of a headline member of the midfield ranks in Catalunya’s capital.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Gavi as the player in question.
Barca boss Flick, for his part, kicked into gear the club’s pre-season preparations this week, holding his first two training sessions on Thursday.
Gavi, despite his long-term injury absence, played his part, through a series of individualised drills and routines.
And, safe to say, the youngster’s new headmaster was left more than impressed by his efforts…
As per Relevo, in fact:
‘It only took one day for Hansi Flick to fall in love with Gavi.’
The German had already received glowing reports regarding the commitment of the 19-year-old, but even he was left surprised by the ‘spirit, passion and dedication’ showcased by Gavi on Thursday.
The midfielder is expected to remain unavailable for selection until October at the earliest, but the early signs certainly bode well when it comes to Gavi’s place in the plans of his new manager.
