Granada want to sign Osasuna striker Chimy Ávila

Granada want to sign a new striker before the end of the transfer window. Relevo report that Osasuna’s Chimy Ávila is their primary target to strengthen their attack as they look to establish themselves once again in the top flight in Spain.

At the moment the operation is at an initial stage, with Granada hoping to get the player on a loan deal. Osasuna had no intention of letting the Argentine striker leave, as head coach Jagoba Arrasate confirmed in Vigo, after the club’s first victory of the season. “I would not like him to leave because he is a very important player and last year he was our top scorer.”

However, just a week later, controversy broke out when Ávila injured Athletic Club player Álex Berenguer and his coach gave him a public dressing-down that was still going on on Wednesday. “He feels singled out, hurt and sorry. All this has to happen for him to learn”, said Jagoba. As of today, the relationship between the two is not at its best and that could facilitate a move to Granada.
