Granada open talks with Man United winger Pellistri

The powers that be at Granada have kicked negotiations into gear with an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Premier League giants Manchester United.

That’s according to journalist Matteo Moretto, who has revealed that the Granada brass have set their sights on the signature of Facundo Pellistri.

Wide-man Pellistri, for his part, has endured a frustrating campaign to date, limited to less than 400 minutes of playing time under the watch of Man United boss Erik ten Hag.

The Uruguayan is therefore understood to be open to the idea of a January loan exit from Old Trafford, with the Estadio de Los Cármenes having emerged as a potential landing spot.

As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, Granada have ‘opened talks’ with Pellistri and his entourage.

With the two parties confident of reaching an agreement over the terms of a six-month loan deal, the former will in turn make contact with their counterparts in Manchester over the coming days, to push the transfer forward.

The United hierarchy, meanwhile, are too expected to be amenable to a deal, keen for Pellistri to secure more regular first-team football.
