Gonçalo Inácio on Real Madrid’s radar

As reported by AS, Real Madrid are looking to bolster their defence in the upcoming January transfer window with Sporting CP centre-back, Gonçalo Inácio (22), who has a release clause of €60m.

The promising defender has already been on Real Madrid’s radar for some months, and an inquiry was made in the summer transfer window, but no formal bid was made. Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in the Portuguese international. Los Blancos thus want to get the signing over the line to prevent his departure to England.

The need for a reinforcement at centre-back after the injury to Éder Militao became apparent when Carlo Ancelotti was forced to play Aurélien Tchouaméni in defence against Osasuna on October 7.

Inácio has already impressed for club and country, making four international appearances in which he has scored two goals.
