Marca report that Giuliano Simeone is moving closer to joining Real Zaragoza on loan for the 2022-23 season.
Son of Diego Simeone, the 19-year-old made his Atlético Madrid senior debut last season against Granada and is set for a loan move to continue developing.
Zaragoza, currently in Spain’s Second Division, would be getting a hungry young striker who wants to prove himself in the game.
They were close to landing the Argentine forward on loan in January. Diego Simeone gave the go-ahead for the move to the Segunda side, however, Atlético’s reserve team had no replacement and were in a title race so they decided to keep the young striker.
Simeone scored 25 goals for Atlético Madrid’s reserve team last season. Zaragoza are excited about the arrival of the Argentinian, who they see as an ideal partner for fellow 19-year-old Iván Azón.
The son of legendary coach, Diego Simeone, was once a ballboy for Atlético Madrid and has his sights on one day becoming a regular at the Wanda Metropolitano.
