Girona boss Míchel a replacement candidate as Pep Guardiola’s Man City exit plans surface

An insight into the plans of Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola to bring a close to his time with the club has late this evening been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail, regarded as highly reliable when it comes to all things Man City.

And it points towards Guardiola preparing to bid farewell to the Sky Blues.

Whilst the brass at The Etihad intend to do their utmost to change the mind of the club’s beloved tactician, the Spaniard himself is expected to step down in the summer of 2025.

It is currently unclear what Guardiola’s plans post-City entail.

Turning attentions towards those under early consideration as the former midfielder’s successor, Gaughan highlights a quartet of names – Brighton & Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi, Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Bayer Leverkusen mastermind Xabi Alonso, and Girona leader Míchel.

The latter of these four, meanwhile, may boast something of an advantage, owing to the fact that he is already part of the ‘City Group’.
