Getafe & Las Palmas go head-to-head for Emirhan Topçu

A pair of La Liga clubs are expressing a keen interest in the signature of defender Emirhan Topçu.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario AS, who have confirmed that the Turk is a man in demand in La Liga with a view to next season.

Both Getafe and Las Palmas, it is understood, have identified Topçu as a leading summer transfer target.

The 23-year-old is currently plying his trade in his home country of Turkey, in the midst of an impressive season with Süper Lig club Çaykur Rizespor.

Las Palmas, for one, have already gone as far as to table an opening offer for Topçu, whose value is set at €4 million by market experts Transfermarkt.

With as much having been rejected, however, the door has been opened to Getafe, who are now locked in negotiations with club and player alike.

The Azulones are understood to have offered Topçu a three-year contract, to take his talents to the Estadio Coliseum later this year.
