Getafe boss José Bordalás scoops La Liga award

Getafe head coach José Bordalás has on Monday secured for himself an altogether prestigious individual award.

This comes amid confirmation that the tactician has beaten out the competition, to scoop the La Liga Manager of the Month prize for January.

Bordalás, for his part, guided Getafe into action on five occasions across all competitions over the course of the month to date.

And the Azulones emerged victorious from four, including a remarkable 3-0 triumph away to Real Sociedad over the weekend.

Not only that, but they managed to hold free-scoring Barcelona to just a solitary goal, in a 1-1 stalemate on January 18th.

And, as alluded to above, such stellar efforts on the part of Bordalás and his men have not gone at all unnoticed.

As per a statement across La Liga’s website and official social media platforms on Monday, the 60-year-old has scooped the accolade for Manager of the Month in Spain’s top-flight.
