German legend recommends signing to Barcelona boss Hansi Flick

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been urged to sanction a move for Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller.

The name of midfielder Stiller of course emerged as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines this past summer.

As much came amid the understanding that, amid their search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, the brass at Barcelona earmarked the 23-year-old as one of a number of potential signings.

Stiller has long been hailed for his performances at the base of Stuttgart’s engine room, enough to establish the German as a regular in Julian Nagelsmann’s national team setup, too.

And one individual of the opinion that Stiller’s attributes make him the perfect reinforcement for the aforementioned Barcelona comes in the form of Lothar Matthäus.

Speaking to the media late this week, German icon Matthäus, a close friend of Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick, explained:

“Stiller would be good for Barça because of his style of play. I trust him and if Barcelona were to sell, his signing would be possible and sensible.

“Stiller could put his stamp on Barcelona and organise the midfield there,” Matthäus concluded.
