Gareth Bale scores stunning brace for Wales

Gareth Bale opened the scoring for Wales tonight in their 2-1 World Cup qualifier win against Austria to see them through to the playoff final.

The Real Madrid forward scored a magnificent free-kick that crashed off the bar after 25 minutes in Cardiff.

In the second half, Bale scored his and Wales’ second of the night, drilling home a rising effort into the top corner of the net.

Bale is set to leave Madrid on a free transfer this summer but is expected to join another club to prepare for the World Cup in Qatar if Wales qualify.

The Welshman was left out of the Real Madrid squad for their 4-0 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday.
