Speaking after Wales’ 2-1 win over Austria on Thursday, Gareth Bale gave his thoughts on his side’s victory.
“I had some cramp at the end, which I guess is normal, but like I said, I’ll run into the ground for this country.”
Bale opened the scoring for Wales against Austria with a stunning free-kick.
The Real Madrid forward then scored his and Wales’ second of the night, drilling home a fine strike into the top corner of the net to see them through to the playoff final.
