The schedule for the quarter-finals of this season’s Copa del Rey has this evening been made official.
This comes fresh off the last of the competition’s Last-16 fixtures being played to completion late on Thursday.
The final outing saw Diego Simeone’s Atlético send city rivals Real Madrid packing, courtesy of a 4-2 extra-time triumph.
This, of course, leaves the Copa trophy very much up for grabs, with the likes of Atléti and Barcelona no doubt fancying their chances of going all the way.
Just who, though, will such clubs need to navigate their way past to seal a semi-final berth?
Well, as alluded to above, as much was revealed a short time ago.
The first of the four ties will play out on Tuesday, January 23rd, when Celta Vigo play host to Real Sociedad.
And this will be followed over the ensuing three nights by meetings between Mallorca and Girona, Athletic Club and Barcelona, and, lastly, Atlético Madrid and Sevilla.
