A fresh insight into the ongoing efforts of La Liga giants Barcelona to bring in Jonathan Tah for next season has on Friday been provided.
The name of defender Tah has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that Barcelona director Deco had held a fresh round of talks with the Bayer Leverkusen star’s entourage.
Tah’s terms at the BayArena are due to expire next summer, with the Blaugrana one of a number of leading European clubs keen on his services.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, then the La Liga leaders appear to have positioned themselves at the front of the queue to strike a deal.
As per a report from Carlos Monfort of Jijantes, Tah himself was in attendance at yesterday’s sit-down in Germany. And the 28-year-old departed nothing short of ‘delighted’ with the project laid out in front of him by Deco.
So much so that:
‘Barça is already making progress on the paperwork in case the agreement comes to fruition.’
