Fran García wants to return to Real Madrid, but he has to await Los Blancos’ decision regarding his future, report Estadio Deportivo.
The 23-year-old joined Rayo Vallecano permanently in the summer of 2021 and this season he has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the league.
Xabi Alonso has expressed his interest in signing García and Bayer Leverkusen are willing to pay €10m to secure the services of the Spaniard.
However, García, a product of Real Madrid’s youth system, has expressed his desire to return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. According to the deal signed in 2021, Los Blancos have priority if they wish to sign García and they would also receive 50% of a sell-on fee if he does not end up joining Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Thus, Rayo Vallecano, Bayer Leverkusen, and García all have to await Real Madrid’s decision before any talks can progress further.
