Ernesto Valverde’s troops are set to kick the latest gameweek in Spain’s top-flight into gear on Friday night.
As much will come by way of a trip to Madrid, to take on the aforementioned Getafe.
Athletic will head into proceedings aware that a three-point haul is something of a must, as their Champions League hopes for next season continue to get slimmer and slimmer.
In efforts to arrest the club’s four-game league winless streak, however, the Basque outfit will be forced to make do without a number of important players.
Boss Valverde’s party in line to make the trip to the Estadio Coliseum was announced a short time ago.
And nowhere to be seen were any of sidelined quartet Yuri Berchiche, Íñigo Ruiz de Galarreta, Oihan Sancet, or Dani Vivian.
