Former Real Madrid standout Casemiro has this week tipped current Blancos frontman Kylian Mbappé to thrive at the club long-term.
France international Mbappé of course sealed a move to Spain’s capital last summer, on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
And, after a tough start to life in La Liga, the 26-year-old has spent recent weeks rediscovering his very best form.
All told, Mbappé has managed to find the net in eight of his last ten appearances in all competitions.
After notching once more against Osasuna over the weekend, taking the entirety of the campaign into account, the attacker has racked up an impressive 25 goals.
And one individual believes that Mbappé will kick on to greater heights yet comes in the form of the aforementioned Casemiro.
Speaking in an interview with Diario AS on Monday, Manchester United star Casemiro was drawn on Mbappé’s early difficulties at Real Madrid.
And the one-time Blancos midfielder went on to explain:
”He is already established and will give you 40 goals a year. The youngsters, like Rodrygo, Militao or Fede, who I admire a lot for the way he plays and gives his all, know how to wait for their moment. And it always ends up coming. The adaptation of the youngsters is easier with the veterans explaining to them what everything is like here.”
