Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid remains up in the air. Rumours would dictate that the Brazilian’s future lies elsewhere.
One Real Madrid legend, a Champions League winner with the club no less, had a message of warning for Rodrygo, should he think that the grass may be greener elsewhere.
Predrag Mijatović, who won the Champions League in 1998 alongside the league in 1997, had a warning for Rodrygo if he is looking to move elsewhere.
“You only know what you have when it’s gone,” the Montenegrin said to Cadena Ser. “I left Madrid having one more year on my contract. Players don’t know what they have at Real Madrid. They begin to understand it when they are no longer there. When they ask me, I always say that it is very difficult to become a Real Madrid player, but leaving is very easy.”
On his career after leaving the Spanish capital, he added: “Two weeks later I already knew perfectly well. I went to Florence, a beautiful city… and I said: ‘Is this going to work out’?“
Rodrygo has a very important decision to make in the coming weeks, one which could make or break his career, and one which the 23-year-old could easily live to regret.
