A one-time member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has provided his response to the news of the club’s deal for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
Rashford’s name has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the long-running saga linking the 27-year-old with a move to the Camp Nou was finally brought to a definitive end.
After Deco and co. made the call to open official negotiations with their counterparts at Manchester United, a loan deal for the 2025/26 campaign was quickly put in place between the parties.
Rashford’s impending arrival has since been met with something of a mixed response across the Barcelona fanbase, with some enthused by the signing, and others largely underwhelmed.
As alluded to above, though, one individual who certainly appears to be excited by the prospect of his fellow countryman lining out in Blaugrana colours is Gary Lineker.
In the aftermath of Saturday’s Rashford news coming to the fore online, one-time Barca striker Lineker quickly took to his official Instagram account, to unveil a new profile picture:
