Former Barcelona star Neymar on the verge of transfer away from Saudi Arabia

Barcelona icon Neymar Jr. is all set for an incoming departure from the Saudi Pro League.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Brazilian giants Santos as the landing spot awaiting the Seleção star.

Neymar has of course seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines across world football over the course of recent days.

This comes after Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus admitted that the 32-year-old would not be registered for the 2nd half of the Saudi campaign:

“Ney will not be registered, but he can participate in the Asian Champions League. He’s world-class. But the truth is, physically, Neymar can no longer perform at the level we are used to”.

A whole host of clubs from across the globe, in turn, have since been tipped as potential landing spots for Neymar.

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, one such club appear to have beaten out the stiff competition to his signature.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Neymar Jr, close to returning to Santos as the Brazilian club has now submitted a formal loan proposal!’
